Took me a while to decide but after hearing about the benefits of silica for hair and nails, I thought I'd give NOW Foods Bamboo Silica Beauty a try. It's not something I'd normally buy, being more into proven vitamin supplements, but I figured it couldn't hurt. Plus, it was affordable at $14.99.

I've been taking it daily for about two weeks now and I'm impressed with the difference in my nails. They seem stronger and less prone to breaking, which is a relief because I've been working on some DIY projects lately that require lots of digging around in the garden. My hair feels softer too, though it's too early to tell if there's any visible growth yet.

The only minor critique I have is that the pills are quite large and sometimes I struggle to swallow them without water. But other than that, they're easy to incorporate into my daily routine. So far, so good!
