The extra length is very useful and the locking feature helps keep it rigid for turning on light switches, etc. The rotating head is very useful and it will pick up very small items as well as larger objects like bottles. Simple and easy to use grabber. The extended reach is a plus just don't overestimate your own strength if you pick up a heavy item with the long reach it can be cumbersome. The rotating head is a plus to help get into some areas. Works great and is lightweight which is a plus.
This grabber is decent for the price. Bought quite a few over the years and they inevitably break due to excessive usage. Usually the "string" eventually gets stretched out and snaps.I have a favorite one but you never seem to get the exact same type each order. They are always slightly different or lesser quality.
